EBG-5 P “Protector”
The new Jimmy Jay Signature (H.E.A.T) P “Protector Bass” has a classic shape. But that's where the similarities end, because the Protector impresses with a heavy relic finish, aged hardware, and above all, its 35"-34" multiscale carbon neck.
Thanks to the slightly longer scale length of just 1 inch (25.4 mm) on the low E string, the bass plays comfortably and naturally without having to adjust to a typically longer multiscale scale. This provides a familiar playing feel while still delivering that extra punch and growl on the low bass string.
Another unique feature of the neck is the forward-angled fannet frets. This allows the neck to be mounted on any Fender P Bass with a standard bridge. Jimmy also wanted genuine bullet holes on the body. The body features a solid, CNC-machined aluminum edge, which, together with the bullet holes, creates a Terminator-like look. Custom laser-engraved bands and inlays are also present.
The Protector Bass is truly something special.
